IPTV for iPhone and iPad
iOS has fewer IPTV players than Android, but the ones that exist are stable, and setup is quick. Everything below applies equally to iPhone and iPad, and there is a section on getting the picture onto an Apple TV.

Setting up on iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store and search for an IPTV player. IPTV Smarters is the most widely used; GSE Smart IPTV is a common alternative.
- Install and open it, then accept the terms.
- Choose Login with Xtream Codes API, or in some apps, Add playlist → Xtream Codes.
- Enter a playlist name, then your server URL, username and password.
- Wait for the channel list and TV guide to load.

IBO Player and Hot Player on iPhone and iPad
These two connect differently. Rather than typing credentials into the app, the app shows a device key and MAC address, and you attach your playlist through a web page.
- Install IBO Player or Hot Player from the App Store.
- Open it and note the device key and MAC address shown on the first screen.
- Visit the activation website displayed on that screen, from any browser.
- Enter the device key and MAC, then add your playlist — paste the M3U URL we sent, or your Xtream Codes details if requested separately.
- Save and reopen the app.
On iOS the no-typing advantage matters less than it does on a Firestick, since you already have a proper keyboard and can paste. The reason to choose one of these on iPhone or iPad is usually consistency — if you already run IBO Player on your television, using the same app on your phone keeps one dashboard managing both.
Both charge a one-off activation fee after a short trial. That payment is made to the app developer and is separate from your Duplecast subscription. We receive no part of it and cannot waive it. IPTV Smarters and GSE Smart IPTV are free alternatives.

Watching on an Apple TV
There are two routes, and they behave quite differently.
AirPlay from your iPhone or iPad
Start playback in the app, then AirPlay to the Apple TV. Simple, but your phone is doing the work: the stream passes through it, the battery drains, and a call or notification can interrupt playback.
A native Apple TV app
Newer Apple TV models have their own App Store with IPTV players available. This is the better option when one is available, because the Apple TV connects directly and your phone is not involved. Availability varies by region and by tvOS version.
Honest assessment: if watching on a television is your main use, an Apple TV is not the most economical route. A Firestick or Android box costs a fraction as much and runs better IPTV apps. Use iOS for portable viewing, where it genuinely excels.
Getting the best results on iOS
- Use Wi-Fi rather than mobile data for HD and above. A Full HD stream consumes roughly 7 GB per hour.
- Disable Low Power Mode while watching — it throttles performance and can cause stuttering.
- Turn off Low Data Mode in Wi-Fi settings, which silently caps stream quality.
- Set the correct time zone, or the TV guide will appear shifted.
- Pick the FHD stream rather than 4K on a phone screen; you will not see the difference and it saves bandwidth.
