TiviMate: Setup Guide and Configuration
TiviMate has the best interface of any IPTV player. It is built for a television rather than adapted from a phone app, and once you have used its channel guide, going back to anything else is a wrench.
Two caveats: it runs only on Android and Fire OS, and the features most people want are behind the premium version.

If you are on iOS, a Samsung or LG TV, or a computer, TiviMate is not an option. That is a hard platform limit, not a setting. Use IPTV Smarters Pro instead.
Installing TiviMate
On Android TV and Google TV
Search the Google Play Store for TiviMate and install it. Straightforward.
On a Firestick
- Enable Apps from Unknown Sources in Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options.
- Install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore.
- Use it to fetch the TiviMate installation file.
- Install and open.

Adding your playlist
- Open TiviMate. On first launch it offers to Add playlist.
- Choose Xtream Codes rather than M3U.
- Enter your server URL, then your username and password.
- Give the playlist a name.
- Let it download the channel list and the guide — typically under a minute.
- When asked, choose which channel groups to include. Selecting only the ones you want makes navigation far faster.

Premium is a one-off or subscription payment made to TiviMate’s developer, entirely separate from your Duplecast subscription. We receive nothing from it and cannot supply it.
Whether it is worth paying for depends on you. If you only watch live channels, the free version is genuinely sufficient. If you want recording, it is the only route.
Settings worth changing
- Select only the groups you watch during setup, or re-run group selection later. A 24,000-channel list is slow to navigate in full.
- Set up favourites and make that your default view. This is where TiviMate really pulls ahead.
- Adjust the guide layout — number of channels shown and time span — to suit your screen size.
- Enable channel numbers if you prefer typing a number to scrolling.
- Change the decoder in playback settings if audio drifts out of sync.
- Set the buffer size higher on a weaker connection to reduce stuttering.

How do I set up TiviMate for IPTV?
Install TiviMate from Google Play, or sideload it on a Firestick using Downloader. Open it, choose Add playlist, select Xtream Codes, and enter your server URL, username and password. Then choose which channel groups to include.
Is TiviMate free?
There is a free version that handles live TV, the channel guide and favourites. Multiple playlists, recording and picture-in-picture require TiviMate Premium, which is paid directly to the app developer and is separate from your IPTV subscription.
Does TiviMate work on iPhone or Apple TV?
No. TiviMate is Android and Fire OS only. On iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Samsung or LG televisions, or a computer, use IPTV Smarters Pro instead.
Is TiviMate better than IPTV Smarters Pro?
For live TV on a television, yes: the guide layout and navigation are noticeably better. Smarters is better if you want on-demand and catch-up in the same app, or if you need one app across mixed devices, since it runs everywhere.

Why is my TiviMate guide empty?
It is usually still downloading on first setup, so allow a minute or two and then force an EPG refresh in settings. If programmes appear at the wrong times, correct the device time zone rather than adjusting the app.
How do I stop TiviMate stuttering?
Increase the buffer size in playback settings, which helps on weaker connections, and switch the decoder if the problem persists. On a Firestick, also check that Wi-Fi signal is not being blocked by the television.
Can I record with TiviMate?
Yes, but only with TiviMate Premium. The free version does not include recording or scheduled recording.
